Field Survey Enumerator (Contractual)
Department: National Sample Survey Office (NSSO)
Location: Vadodara, Surat, Mehsana, Valsad, Nadiad

About the Role

The Field Survey Enumerator will work under the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) to collect socio-economic, employment, consumption, and demographic data from households and establishments through structured field surveys. The role is field-based and involves extensive interaction with the public.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct household and establishment surveys as per NSSO guidelines.

Visit assigned areas daily for data collection.

Collect accurate information using survey forms, mobile apps, or tablets.

Explain survey objectives clearly to respondents.

Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy.

Maintain confidentiality of all collected data.

Submit daily and weekly reports to supervisors.

Follow government protocols and survey methodology.

Handle field challenges professionally and ethically.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 21 to 44 years

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge (mobile, apps, data entry)

Language: Ability to communicate in Gujarati & Hindi (English preferred)

Field Readiness: Must be willing to travel within assigned districts

Basic smartphone and computer usage

Time management and discipline

Ability to work independently in field conditions

Salary & Benefits

Monthly Salary: ?31,000

Additional: TA / DA as per government norms
